The Smart Ringswitch Plus can be configured to offer high performance switching on the backbone of the largest, most demanding Token Ring network. The unit is highly configurable and offers six modular slots that can be occupied with any combination of connectivity options from the Madge Ringswitch range. The chassis also has an inbuilt provision for dual redundant power supplies to offer the highest resilience against power failure and network downtime. The switch can be configured to provide high speed translational bridging between Token Ring and Ethernet networks at up to Gigabit speeds and modules can also be installed to provide HSTR and ATM connectivity. The versatility of the Ringswitch range is such that most network interfaces are available over both copper and fibre media, in addition to this, the range has been designed so that modular boards for the Ringswitch Plus are fully compatible with the Express Select, further protecting your investment in Token Ring infrastructure.
